Each comprehensive exam appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes complete oral evaluation. Dr. Mercado checks every tooth for decay and existing restorations, examines gum health and measures pocket depths to screen for periodontal disease, and performs thorough oral cancer screening checking all soft tissues.
X-rays are taken as needed to detect problems not visible to the naked eye. We check for bite problems, jaw joint issues, and any other concerns.
