Dentures
Comfortable, natural-looking full and partial dentures designed to restore your bite, your profile, and your confidence.
Dentures are custom-crafted removable prosthetics that replace missing teeth and restore your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. At Mercado Dental Studio, we offer both full dentures for complete tooth replacement and partial dentures when some natural teeth remain. Our dentures are carefully fabricated to match your facial features and create a natural-looking smile.
Unlike fixed restorations like crowns or bridges, dentures are removable and can be taken out for cleaning. This makes them easy to maintain and allows for simple adjustments as your mouth changes over time. We offer both traditional dentures and specialty dentures for patients with specific needs.
Whether you've lost all your natural teeth due to decay, disease, or injury, or need supplementation for remaining teeth, dentures provide a functional, affordable solution that restores your smile and your quality of life.

Full Dentures vs. Partial Dentures
Full dentures replace all of your natural teeth when none remain. The prosthetic teeth are attached to a pink acrylic base that rests on your gums and remaining jawbone. Full dentures require periodic adjustment as your jawbone naturally resorbs and changes shape over time following tooth loss.
Partial dentures replace several missing teeth while your remaining natural teeth remain in place. A partial denture typically uses clasps or precision attachments to hold securely to your remaining teeth, making it stable during eating and speaking. Partials preserve your remaining natural teeth and can be less bulky than full dentures.
Dr. Mercado will evaluate your specific situation and recommend the option best suited to your needs. Whether you need a full or partial denture, we'll ensure perfect fit, natural appearance, and comfortable function.
Denture Care and Maintenance
Proper denture care extends the life of your prosthetic and maintains your oral health. Dentures require daily brushing with a denture brush and denture cleanser to remove food particles and plaque. Your dentures should be kept moist when not in use, as the acrylic can dry out and become brittle. Many patients store their dentures in a denture cup with water or special solution overnight.
Even with full dentures, proper oral hygiene remains important. Brush your gums, tongue, and the roof of your mouth daily to remove plaque and stimulate circulation. Regular dental visits allow Dr. Mercado to monitor your oral health, check your denture fit, and make adjustments as needed.
Over time, as your jawbone changes, your dentures may require adjustment or relining to maintain proper fit. We recommend returning regularly so we can identify issues early and ensure your dentures continue to fit comfortably and function well. With proper care, your dentures will serve you reliably for many years.
